Fireman’s Prayer
When
I am called to duty, God
whenever flames may rage,
Give me the strength to save some life
Whatever be its age.
Help
me to embrace a little child
Before it’s too late,
Or some older person
from the horror of that fate.
Enable
me to be alert
And hear the weakest shout,
And quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.
I
want to fill my calling
and give the best in me,
To guard my neighbor
And protect his property.
And
if according to Your will
I have to lose my life,
Please bless with Your protecting hand
My children and my wife

“INSIDE OR OUT”

As the alarm rings out,
There’s a sound of a distant shout.
In the dark sky there’s a glow,
As the fire and flames start to grow.
Fear is the feeling in the air,
As everyone is starting to care.
Where was that shout?
Was it from the inside or out?
The intensity of the fire grows,
And then nobody knows.
Where was the shout?
Was it inside or out?
As the smoke grows thick,
And we started to feel sick.
The result of the shout,
Thank God it was on the out.

Monthly Meeting
The Edwards Fire Department conducts its monthly meeting on the first Tuesday
of each month at 7 PM at the fire hall.

Good Will Breakfast
Sunday, April 28 from 7:30-11:30 AM, sponsored by the Edwards
Fire Department Explorer Post #090. The menu will be pancakes, French
toast, bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee and juice.
The Edwards Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad is actively recruiting
